UmPhafa Nature Reserve offers a number of placements to people who have a passion and an interest to learn about African wildlife. Whether you are studying some form of Nature Conservation or would just like to have the experience of a lifetime our internships are for you.
2 Week Placement
This is a fantastic opportunity for those who are keen to lend a hand to nature and explore a beautiful part of the world outside of our usual busy season.
You will be involved in animal studies, game counts, reserve maintenance, field patrols, data collection, night drives and explore local culture.
You will have the satisfaction of being close to the animals, knowing that your contribution is having a direct influence on the wellbeing of the flora and fauna of UmPhafa Nature Reserve.
4 – 12 Week Internship
UmPhafa Nature Reserve offers internships to people who have a passion and an interest to learn about conservation and reserve management.
Whether you are studying some form of Nature Conservation or would just like to have the experience of a lifetime, our internship is for you.
It is a fantastic and rare opportunity to be mentored and work alongside a senior team with many years of experience and gain creditable work experience whilst also supporting vital conservation.
