We are delighted to have received a number of donations from the local community which has helped us to purchase a brand new freezer store for our UmPhafa Reserve in South Africa! Many of the funds came from the generous customers at Waitrose Colchester, Freeport Shopping Centre Braintree and Sainsbury Stanway as well as the HMP Warren Hill all of which kindly raised money for our charity Action for the Wild through donation pots and fund raising activites.
The freezer which these donations have helped to purchase is a vital piece of equipment as the reserve team once again undergo the challenge of caring for a number of African wild dogs as part of an Endangered Wildlife Trust project and the need for a larger, walk in freezer to store their food was an extremely important part of taking this challenge forward.
Once again we would like to thank all the companies and customers who have supported the work of our charity Action for the Wild, you can find out more about the African hunting dog project here.
