You do not currently have to go far on Colchester Zoo’s UmPhafa Reserve in South Africa to see arguably one of our favourite calves; giraffes!
Four young calves have been born and are doing extremely well, rangers continue to monitor them as they grow healthy and strong, following their parents around the area and learning and exploring!
There are also a few more plump females which have been spotted on the reserve, so it is hoped it won’t be long before we welcome some other new additions!
